Every travelling plan starts with a geographical map. Every country is unique and and has a particular geography.
My first advise is to take your time and study the map regardless the country you are travelling to. You can follow a little bit the directions regions and the towns names.
As well choose slow rhythm to travel between Your traveling destinations and honestly find relvant information. Most important , find how much it will take You to travel from one sight to another.
For example Romania is a complex unique country and there is so much to explore here !! As well thewhole country can qualifies as an untravelled destination.
Anually Romania recieves about 2,5 milion outside guests and in maybe 20 Years it might reach a level of 8 milion incomming guests . This is why I think Romania needs special attention as an unspoiled destination at least for now or in the following years.
Another wise advise is trying to connect regions , not towns! You can Dedicate a 1-3 days inside every selected region of Romania.
We reccomend not to follow or apply ,,the bucket list ,, or ,,connecting the dots,, betwen towns , trying to make an incredible race in just two days, spending a lot of time on the roads and losing the essence what Romania is! You came for a Holyday and not for a Marathon inside a car.
Challenge yourself to accept the new culture, and explore the new. Losse your cultural signature for a while. I know there is an international code for manners and tourism.
By loosing Yourself , You can Get out of Your comfort zone , sometimes the best adventures are not on a straight pathway!
Leave a small availability open in Your schedule for every travelling day. That gives You the chance to explore more, avvoid travelling delays or simply relax.
If You decide to hire a local guide be open to new suggestions and don t use your tour guide just as a driver. A quality tourguide is a collection of knowledge connections and skills, with a remarkable cultural value !! As well in the meantime they are humans too, with ups and downs, with their personal belives and challenges.
For an enrich experience split Your travelling time from your guided experiences as much as possible. That will disolve time and create the impression that every guided experience is a new movie scene.
As well I will avoid being very fancy on the road. I will keep things paractical , and time eficient connecting Your travelling destinations. Solutions can be simple: rent a car , travel by train or use private transfer and for each destination use a local guide.
Don` t use a copy –paste schedule to hire a guide for a 10 days ittinerary. Use general traveling grid lines for Your itinerary give relevant info about your desires and travelling condition and ask for a personalized offer.
Please don t stick only to the most popular destinations and hire a guide for that. Forget about Dracula for a while!! Be open to new suggestions . You can find new places and unspoiled local destinations to visit with Your Local Guide.
Don t try to build the most high demanding itinerary , like ,,the highests peaks ,,, the most difficult,, ,,the most elusive animal to see,, in ,,the most remote and hard to reach,, .
Being too high demanding betrays your travelling behaviour , anxiety related behaviour, travelling experience and gives You a too high expectactions profile. Most of travel agencies are trying to comply with that.
Not me, I think taking only ,,the top foam,, of a travelling destination a waste of time, You are travelling for Yourself , not for the people at home to see where You where. I want to meet special people as a tourguide and creeate a travelling bond. That is my effort and my reward as a tourguide. So be reasonable realistic and take it with balance and ease!
For any good travelling time You need safety. Is it safe to travel in that area? Romania is one of the safest countries to travel!
The paradox is that London , Paris or even Barcelona is less unsafe than Bucharest for example. Drop Your wallet on the streets of Brasov and someone will give it back ore give You a notice that You drop soemething ! It is not a joke , It is simply Romania!
