In Summer everything is luxuriant green. Average temperature when sunny is between 15-20 degrees , Cloudy days or mornings can bring You back to 5-10 degrees. Your dedicated guide is a trustful companion and he will try his best to reach all objectives and keep you safe! He also might adapt the itinerary, offering alternative trails for a more comfortable experience on the mountain!
Our Trail is going to pass over all altitudinal layers of forest. The Carpathian forest is luxuriant and follows more or less a steep forestry road. Flowers and bird songs will decorate our ascent.
Făgăraș Mountains are a castle of water, many springs sprouting from the valey s bedrock. Water is almost microbiological pure and has the perfect Ph, meaning 7. Drinkable water is available on the mountain from natural springs.

More info about hikking in the Carpathian Mountains
Your hikking in the land of bears and virgin forests
Romania has 6,3 million hectares of forest and around 60% covers the Carpathians. Vast landscapes cover in Mountains and hills describes Romania as taking a view from ,,the top of the world,, while hiking.

We have 14 national parks and 16 natural parks where forest is well protected. The rest of the forest is protected by forest management. Almost 20 % of the mountain forests are virgin forests, unspoiled, representing true wilderness. The strange thing in Romania is that most of the time You can find more unspoiled wilderness outside national parks than inside, mostly because parks are much ,,louder,, of human activity than an ,,usual,, forest.
How a proper hike filles like here
Average height of the Carpathians differs according to the mountain range that You are hiking. Peaks on Eastern Arch of the Carpathians have an average height of 1900 m, central mountain range Fagaras, around 2100 and the Eastern Arch around 1800 m. Travelers must not be deceived by their low height and should asses properly their difficulty.
A complete one day hike in The Carpathians will start from 650-850 m and ends around 1900 m, so that means 1000 m altitude difference level in one go for an authentic hike. The return path doubles the challenge.

On their longitudinal profile Carpathians will give You the chance to experience sections from mild going up to rough terrain sections, to even escalading or rock climbing sections, according to Your interests.
It is amusing that some trails are remarkably well marked or some sections will be “well hidden”. Trails are simply free of people and it will be difficult to ask for information.
So hiking with a local guide is recommended. Also the guide will keep You focus on the trails, chat with locals, watch for Your safety and guard You against wildlife and shepherd dogs. He will also find directions out of nothing in the land of nowhere and take inspiring decisions.
Experience has taught us that giving precise trails and local names help less travelers to create an image on what to expect, but more than sure all travelers will pleasantly surprised about any recommendations given. Sometimes less details means more desire to explore.
My hikes are designed for amateur hikers !!
