Nature Hike in Bran Castle Land – Bucegi Natural Park
Relative altitude difference : 300 m – Trail Length 12 km . Slope: 2%- 15% Trekking time 4 hours . Total time per visit 5-6 hours.
Tour highlights : The experience Combines history with nature, featuring Bran Castle (linked to Dracula and Romanian royalty) and a hike through mountain river valleys to Gutanu Opening ,inside Bucegi Natural Park.
An early start will bring us a smooth entrance to Bran Castle away from the nocturnal visits of Dracula.
For us Romanian this amazing castle represents a weaves a story between the life of the cruellest medieval king Vlad the Impaler and related to the modern life of the Royal Family and the Birth of Roamnia in the 20 th century.
Summer days are long so we will escape the heat along the mountain river valleys, escaping the summer heat and assuring our ascent in Bucegi Natural Park to Gutanu Opening.
We will complete the 12 km loop on Lhom`s Hill and getting back to our car or simply travelling on the Road Back.

Brașovian Mountains – Trek To Piatra Mare Mountain – 1827 m.

Tour highlights: Bear Cliffs, a forest picnic with traditional treats cooked on fire, and an optional ascent to Piatra Mare Peak (1827m).
Trail description: Brasov – Dambu Morii( 950 m) – Valea Chiba (forestry road) 3 km +200 m- Drumul Familial 200m +60m-Prapastia Ursilor(Bear Clifs) 2km +300m . Cabana Piatra Mare- 3 km 300m-Piatra Mare Peak 1872m( optional) – Cabana Piatra Mare -Drumul Familial – Dâmbul Morii. 7-8 hours.
Piatra Mare massif is just 30 minutes away from Brasov. An early start in Brasov will guaranty our success! We will complete a two and and a half hour trail in around 4 hours in an easy step enjoying the landscape and the surroundings.
Your guide may adjust the itinerary to soften or challenge the trail. Many stops will mark the trail with intricate details about wildlife , trees and nature itself.

Today`s trek will start from Poiana Brasov Forest, the most popular Mountain Resort in Romania. Forest is shady green and luxuriant.
The Journey takes You is a luxuriant temperate forest. We will have the chance to explore the Milk Stone Cave, a wild cave with an easy access.
The European Bisons and Siriu Mountains
Relative altitude difference : 550 m – Trail Length 15 km . Slope: 5%- 20% Trekking time 5 hours . Total time per visit 6-7 hours.
We are leaving Brasov and we are heading for the bison sanctuary in Vama Buzaului. European Bisons are more robust than the American bisons.
Our reference starting time for the Hike is 11:30 Crasna Village. Picking our lunch on the way and start our Local ascent to the mountain being helped by a local 4×4 driver.
Trail Description: Crasna Valley 650 m – 2km + 100m – Poiana Stanii Bradul 2km +250 m -Poarta vanturilor -2 km +100 m – Lacul Vulturilor -1 km -100 m – Poarta Vanturilor- 2km-100m -Bradul-2 km -2050m – Crasna – 18 :00 will mark our return time. 6 hours .
Our destination is Lacul Vulturilor 1452 m, this is an unique Heliomat Lake in Romania – Vultures Lake. Gazing into the landscape will be our main activity and enjoying the fresh mountain air in this particular mountain range.

Carpathian Mountains in Transylvania
Romania has 6,3 million hectares of forest and around 60% covers the Carpathians. Vast landscapes cover in Mountains and hills describes Romania as taking a view from ,,the top of the world,, while hiking.
We have 14 national parks and 16 natural parks where forest is well protected. The rest of the forest is protected by forest management. Almost 20 % of the mountain forests are virgin forests, unspoiled, representing true wilderness.
The strange thing in Romania is that most of the time You can find more unspoiled wilderness outside national parks than inside, mostly because parks are much ,,louder,, of human activity than an ,,usual,, forest.
How a genuine hike filles like here..
Average height of the Carpathians differs according to the mountain range that You are hiking. Peaks on Eastern Arch of the Carpathians have an average height of 1900 m, central mountain range Fagaras, around 2100 and the Eastern Arch around 1800 m. Travelers must not be deceived by their low height and should asses properly their difficulty.
A complete one day hike in The Carpathians will start from 650-850 m and ends around 1900 m, so that means 1000 m altitude difference level in one go for an authentic hike. The return path doubles the challenge.
On their longitudinal profile Carpathians will give You the chance to experience sections from mild going up to rough terrain sections, to even escalading or rock climbing sections, according to Your interests.
It is amusing that some trails are remarkably well marked or some sections will be “well hidden”. Trails are simply free of people and it will be difficult to ask for information.
So hiking with a local guide is recommended. Also the guide will keep You focus on the trails, chat with locals, watch for Your safety and guard You against wildlife and shepherd dogs. He will also find directions out of nothing in the land of nowhere and take inspiring decisions.
