Our Trail is going to pass over all altitudinal layers of forest. The Carpathian forest is luxuriant. Flowers animal tracks and bird songs will decorate our ascent.
Our main objective is to spot at least one bear in 48 hours in the natural environment using the most accessible trails on the mountains. Chances are high, bears being on the alpine slopes, feeding with berries or simply wondering from one place to another in their wild environment. Chamois is a common presence as well, and it is present in quite large numbers. The autumn experience overlays over the deer matting season, adding an important wildlife carisma. Occasionally, in the early morning, the Carpathian wolves (Canis lupus) have been seen on the mountain slopes. A large variety of birds are also present including ural owls (Strix uralensis), nutcrackers (Nucifraga caryocatactes) and capercaille (Tetrao urogallus).
Summer days are warm and pleasant, perfect for hikking as well. Făgăraș Mountains contains 11 peaks over 2000 meters. The highest mountain is Moldoveanu Peak 2544 m, situated nearby in a very rough section.
In summer everything is luxuriant green. It is like being at the Ecuator, even rocks are black sometimes and midday often is bringing rain showers. A proper poncho long rain coat is needed all the time. Just in case, be ready to face cloud dragons heavy cold rain on the ridges, lightnings and powerfull winds. Rain also make the hard rock to become slipery. Our ittinerary can be adjusted or modified according to the powerfull wheather of Fagaras mountains! We are simply at the mountains mercie . With every rain temperatures can drop suddently.
Your dedicated guide is a trustful companion and he will try his best to reach all objectives and keep you safe! He also might adapt the itinerary, offering alternative trails for a more comfortable experience on the mountain! He is a naturalist, forest enigineer and nature teacher, a bear specialist and a skilled wildlfe tracker. He is humourous strong and with profound knowledge about the forest environment!
Făgăras Mountains are a castle of water, many springs sprouting from the valley s bedrock. Water is almost microbiological pure and has the perfect Ph, meaning 7. Drinkable water is available on the mountain from natural springs or even at the chalet.
Snow usually melts completely in the midle of May. Sometimes coming back in September just to paint the ridges in white again and to be melted in the following days.
The Experience is available in 15 of May – 15th of June and 15 th September – 15 th of October.

Day 2
Hotel Breakfast
11:30 – 14:30 Hike to Cabana 2 and a half hours.
17:00- 20:00 Wildlife observations –Escape routes around the chalet 3 -8 km trail per visit on wildlife key points.
Day 3
7:30 – 11:00- Wildlife observations – Wildlife Trek in Făgăraș Mountains.
17:00 – 21:00 – Wildlife observations
Day 4
Breakfast
10:00 : Start time. Trek down to car.
13:00-15:00 Transfer to Brasov / Sibiu / Bucharest.
Optional * – Transfagarasan Road Experience etc.
Necessary Equipments: The experience requires special equipment for hiking and a minimum physical condition and trained skills for hiking 6-12 km/day. Rucsac 20 l . Max 3kg total load! Leather boots – 3 seasons with good grip.. No trekking snikers allowed!! Flash light. Poncho rain coat. Survival blanket. Knife – 200 g. Exchange clothing. 1 kg max underwear sealed in aplastic bag. Food – sweets and dry food – max 1Kg. Water bottle – 0.75- 1 l. To be refilled when needed.
Attention Bears! Your tour guide can keep You away from bears! Although he might not be 100% guaranteed, his knowledge, his experience and his actions may put You to safety and even get away from a foraging bear. Keeping your group member quality is important! No guns are needed, except comprehensive knowledge, a pepper spray and a courageous approach!
Our Chalet
The chalet represents a luxurious presence for the mountain environment and has a local cuisine, music and an open bar. Hot water is available and the fire keeps on going most of the time. The Chalet has a common bathroom. White clean sheets and towels are available. Our guests can order whatever they consider from our traditional dishes, enjoy the music the drinks and even enjoy the dancing floor.
